Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: Email address, phone number, password (encrypted)
• Profile Information: Name, date of birth, city, education, profession, interests, values, relationship goals
• Voice Data: Voice introductions you record or upload
• Voice Call Metadata: Call duration, timestamps, and connection quality metrics (audio content is NOT recorded or stored)
• Verification Documents: Work email, LinkedIn profile, educational certificates (for credential verification)
• Communications: Messages exchanged with other users
• Usage Data: Device information, IP address, browsing activity, interaction patterns
• Platform payment information: Subscription and organizer publication payments are processed through Razorpay; we do not store card details.
• Event payment workflow metadata: For an organizer-hosted attendee payment, MindMeet stores the organizer's payment settings and the event snapshot shown to the attendee (amount, currency, deadline, instructions, refund policy, and hosted URL), plus the attendee payment status, external reference, and attendee/organizer notes when supplied. MindMeet does not receive payment credentials.

2. Event eligibility, hosted payments, and organizer analytics

Event eligibility uses a normalized comparison of your profile city with an organizer's selected cities. It does not use GPS, IP address, precise venue distance, or travel validation. The organizer's brand and contact details may be displayed with the event.

If an event uses an external payment page, that provider receives the information you submit under its own privacy policy. MindMeet does not receive your payment credentials and does not collect or hold attendee event funds. MindMeet retains the event payment settings/snapshot, status, reference, and notes needed for the organizer workflow.

Private organizer analytics are aggregate-only. Cohorts require at least 10 people; small and complementary cells are suppressed, with no attendee-level drill-down or export. Optional AI suggestions receive only sanitized values from a fixed aggregate allowlist—never identities, free text, voice, or payment references—and may be incomplete, wrong, or unavailable.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To match you with compatible users based on your preferences
• To verify credentials and maintain platform integrity
• To process payments and manage subscriptions
• To communicate with you about the Service
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats
• To comply with legal obligations

4. Anonymous Profile Display

Your profile is displayed anonymously to other users until mutual identity reveal:

• Only initials (e.g., "P.S.") are shown instead of your full name
• Age is shown as a range (e.g., "28-32") instead of exact age
• Education and profession are abstracted (e.g., "Top-tier MBA" instead of specific institution)
• Photos are never shown until both parties consent to identity reveal

5. Information Sharing

We may share your information with:

• Other Users: Only anonymized profile information until mutual reveal
• Service Providers: Payment processors, cloud hosting, analytics providers
• Legal Authorities: When required by law or to protect rights and safety
• Business Transfers: In case of merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties for advertising purposes.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption, secure authentication, and access controls. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

7. Voice Calls Privacy

Important: Voice calls between users are transmitted in real-time using secure, encrypted peer-to-peer technology. The actual audio content of your voice conversations is NOT recorded, stored, or accessible to MindMeet or any third party.

We only collect and store the following metadata for service improvement and billing purposes:

• Call duration (for voice minute tracking)
• Call timestamps (start and end time)
• Call status (completed, missed, declined)
• Network quality metrics (to improve call experience)
• Participant identifiers (caller and receiver)

This approach ensures your private conversations remain private while allowing us to provide accurate billing and improve call quality.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Upon account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Review your personal data within the app
• Correct inaccurate information in your profile
• Delete individual messages you have sent
• Delete your account and have your associated data removed
• Withdraw consent for optional data processing
• Lodge a complaint with data protection authorities

Note: To protect the privacy of all users, data export functionality is not provided. This prevents unauthorized sharing of private communications and photos exchanged between users. You can view all your data within the app and delete specific messages or your entire account at any time.

10. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may use analytics cookies to understand usage patterns. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete the information immediately.

12. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than India. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
